Frequently asked questions

Short answers about how Anchor Buyer works, what it costs and where funding is offered.

›How does the free AI matching work?

Enter your website and our AI reads your public pages, builds a matching profile (keywords, industry codes, regions, contract values and exclusions) and scores today's open federal and California bids. You can edit the profile, save bids and start free email or Slack alerts at once. Scores show fit, not odds of winning.

›Do I need to be registered in SAM.gov?

To win a federal contract, yes. If you aren't registered yet, tell us when you open your account and we'll help you register. California bids use Cal eProcure, and some need state small business or DVBE certification.

›Who files the bid?

Our team writes, prices and files the bid with you, in your company's name. Nothing is filed until you review the final bid and click Approve and authorize filing.

›What is included in each plan?

Basic includes daily matching, a fit screen and free SAM.gov help. Starter adds California local bids, value estimates and document summaries. Growth adds up to 10 users, introductions and a financing check. Enterprise adds unlimited users, a dedicated advisor and priority bid writing. Written bids are add-ons on every plan.

›How much are the plans?

Basic $29/month · Starter $41/month · Growth $199/month · Enterprise $964/month · or pay a year upfront and save 15%. Review your subscription agreement for payment and refund terms.

›How much does a written bid cost?

A full bid written, priced and filed with you is a flat $2,500 for contracts under $100K, $7,500 up to $1M and $9,000 above, with no fee when you win. A sources sought or RFI response is $2,000. Your first bid's fee is waived.

›Can you guarantee I'll win?

No. Government buyers decide every award. We show planning estimates of your odds so you can decide which bids are worth it.

›What is an 8(a) partner?

A small business in SBA's 8(a) program, such as a Tribe- or ANC-owned firm, that can win set-aside or sole-source federal contracts. You can work as its subcontractor within SBA's limits. This route is federal only.

›Do you lend money?

No. Anchor Buyer does not lend or buy receivables. Funding comes only from independent third-party funders, either licensed lenders or funders that buy contract receivables outright where state law allows, quoted before you bid and subject to their approval. We receive nothing from funders. On federal contracts, a funder that wants to be paid by the government must take an assignment of the whole contract and file notice with the agency, as the Assignment of Claims Act requires, so single invoices are not sold separately.

›Is funding available in my state?

Bid finding, writing and filing are available everywhere. Funding is not offered to businesses in South Dakota, North Dakota, Nevada or Vermont, or to businesses located in Delaware, because those states require licenses our funding partners do not hold. In California, funding is offered only as an outright purchase of receivables over $500,000, and the standard minimum elsewhere is $1 million. The Disclosures page explains why.

›Are you part of the government?

No. Anchor Buyer is a private company, not affiliated with SAM.gov, GSA, SBA or the State of California. Registering in SAM.gov is free.
